॥ अथ ६.३१ ॥
श्रीभगवानुवाच ।
६.३१.२
राजविद्या राजगुह्यं पवित्रमिदमुत्तमम् ।
प्रत्यक्षावगमं धर्म्यं सुसुखं कर्तुमव्ययम् ॥
M N Dutt It is the chief science and the chief mystery; it is the chief means of purification. It is consistent with the sacred laws, easy to practice, directly apprehensible, and imperishable.
६.३१.५
न च मत्स्थानि भूतानि पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम् ।
भूतभृन्न च भूतस्थो ममात्मा भूतभावनः ॥
M N Dutt And again all things are not in Me. See my divine power. Supporting all entities and producing all entities, My Self does not live in those entities.
६.३१.११
अवजानन्ति मां मूढा मानुषीं तनुमाश्रितम् ।
परं भावमजानन्तो मम भूतमहेश्वरम् ॥
M N Dutt Not knowing My supreme Nature, the deluded people of vain hopes, vain acts, vain knowledge, of confounded minds, of the delusive nature of Asuris and Rakshasas, disregard Me as I have assumed a human body.
६.३१.१२
मोघाशा मोघकर्माणो मोघज्ञाना विचेतसः ।
राक्षसीमासुरीं चैव प्रकृतिं मोहिनीं श्रिताः ॥
M N Dutt Not knowing My supreme Nature, the deluded people of vain hopes, vain acts, vain knowledge, of confounded minds, of the delusive nature of Asuris and Rakshasas, disregard Me as I have assumed a human body.
६.३१.१६
अहं क्रतुरहं यज्ञः स्वधाहमहमौषधम् ।
मन्त्रोऽहमहमेवाज्यमहमग्निरहं हुतम् ॥
M N Dutt I am the Vedic Sacrifice, I am the Sacrifice laid down in the Smriti, I am the Sabda (mantra) I am the sacrificial libation; I am the fire; I am the offering.
६.३१.१७
पिताहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः ।
वेद्यं पवित्रम्ॐकार ऋक्साम यजुरेव च ॥
M N Dutt I am the Father of the universe, its Mother, its Creator, its Grandsire. I am the Thing to be known, and the Means by which every thing is purified. I am the Om, the Rik, Saman and Yajus (Vedas).
६.३१.२०
त्रैविद्या मां सोमपाः पूतपापा
यज्ञैरिष्ट्वा स्वर्गतिं प्रार्थयन्ते ।
ते पुण्यमासाद्य सुरेन्द्रलोक
मश्नन्ति दिव्यान्दिवि देवभोगान् ॥
M N Dutt Those, who know the three knowledge, who drink the Soma juice, who offer sacrifices, and whose sins are washed away, seek admission into . heaven. Reaching the holy world of the lord of the celestial, they enjoy the celestial pleasures of the gods in the celestial world.
६.३१.२१
ते तं भुक्त्वा स्वर्गलोकं विशालं
क्षीणे पुण्ये मर्त्यलोकं विशन्ति ।
एवं त्रयीधर्ममनुप्रपन्ना
गतागतं कामकामा लभन्ते ॥
M N Dutt And having enjoyed the pleasures of the extensive heaven, when their merit is exhausted, they again enter into the mortal world. Those that wish for the objects of desire, and act according to the doctrines of these Vedas, obtain going and coming (births and deaths).
६.३१.२७
यत्करोषि यदश्नासि यज्जुहोषि ददासि यत् ।
यत्तपस्यसि कौन्तेय तत्कुरुष्व मदर्पणम् ॥
M N Dutt Whatever you do, O son of Kunti, whatever you eat, whatever you sacrifice, whatever you give, whatever penance you perform, do it in a way which may be an offering to Me.
६.३१.२८
शुभाशुभफलैरेवं मोक्ष्यसे कर्मबन्धनैः ।
संन्यासयोगयुक्तात्मा विमुक्तो मामुपैष्यसि ॥
M N Dutt Thus will you be freed from the bonds of action, the fruits of which are both good and bad. With your self endued with renunciation and devotion, you will be freed (from the laws of rebirth), and you will come to Me.
६.३१.३०
अपि चेत्सुदुराचारो भजते मामनन्यभाक् ।
साधुरेव स मन्तव्यः सम्यग्व्यवसितो हि सः ॥
M N Dutt If even an exceedingly wicked man worship Me, without worshipping any one else, he should certainly be regarded as a good (man), for his efforts are well-directed.
६.३१.३४
मन्मना भव मद्भक्तो मद्याजी मां नमस्कुरु ।
मामेवैष्यसि युक्त्वैवमात्मानं मत्परायणः ॥
M N Dutt Fix your mind on Me, become My worshipper, become My devotee, bow to Me. Thus making Me your goal, and devoting yourself to obstruction, you will certainly come to Me.
॥ इति ६.३१ ॥
