॥ अथ ५.१९५ ॥
वैशंपायन उवाच ।
५.१९५.१
एतच्छ्रुत्वा तु कौन्तेयः सर्वान्भ्रातॄनुपह्वरे ।
आहूय भरतश्रेष्ठ इदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥
M N Dutt Vaishampayana said Hearing this, the son of Kunti (Yudhishthira) summoned all his brothers. Having summoned (them), O best of the Bharata race, he spoke these words.
५.१९५.१२
यत्तद्घोरं पशुपतिः प्रादादस्त्रं महन्मम ।
कैराते द्वन्द्वयुद्धे वै तदिदं मयि वर्तते ॥
M N Dutt That terrible and mighty weapon which the lord of all gods bestowed on me in the combat are hand-to-hand, with (Mahadeva in the guise of) a hunter, even that (weapon) is with me.
५.१९५.१४
तन्न जानाति गाङ्गेयो न द्रोणो न च गौतमः ।
न च द्रोणसुतो राजन्कुत एव तु सूतजः ॥
M N Dutt The son of Ganga does not know the (weapon), nor Drona, nor the son of Gautama, neither also the son of Drona; O king, whence, then, can the son of Suta (know)?
५.१९५.१७
वेदान्तावभृथस्नाताः सर्व एतेऽपराजिताः ।
निहन्युः समरे सेनां देवानामपि पाण्डव ॥
M N Dutt All of them have performed sacrificial rites in company with their wives, after they had become versed respectively in Vedas, and have never been conquered. They can destroy the army of even the gods in battle, O son of Pandu.

विराटद्रुपदौ चोभौ भीष्मद्रोणसमौ युधि ।
स्वयं चापि समर्थोऽसि त्रैलोक्योत्सादने अपि ॥
M N Dutt And both of them viz., Virata and Drupada, who are equal to Bhishma and Drona (respective) in battle, and the powerful Shankha and the son of Hidimba of great strength,
