ब्रह्मोवाच ।
१४.४१.१
य उत्पन्नो महान्पूर्वमहंकारः स उच्यते ।
अहमित्येव संभूतो द्वितीयः सर्ग उच्यते ॥
अहमित्येव संभूतो द्वितीयः सर्ग उच्यते ॥
M N Dutt
Brahman said That Mahat or principle of greatness who was first produced is called Egoism. When, it originated as I, it came to be called as the second creation.
१४.४१.२
अहंकारश्च भूतादिर्वैकारिक इति स्मृतः ।
तेजसश्चेतना धातुः प्रजासर्गः प्रजापतिः ॥
तेजसश्चेतना धातुः प्रजासर्गः प्रजापतिः ॥
M N Dutt
That Egoism is said to be the source of all creatures, for these have originated from its modifications. It is pure effulgence and is the supporter of consciousness. It is Prajapati.
१४.४१.३
देवानां प्रभवो देवो मनसश्च त्रिलोककृत् ।
अहमित्येव तत्सर्वमभिमन्ता स उच्यते ॥
अहमित्येव तत्सर्वमभिमन्ता स उच्यते ॥
M N Dutt
It is a deity, the creator of deities, and of mind. It is the which creates the three worlds. It is said to be that which feels-I am all this.
१४.४१.४
अध्यात्मज्ञाननित्यानां मुनीनां भावितात्मनाम् ।
स्वाध्यायक्रतुसिद्धानामेष लोकः सनातनः ॥
स्वाध्यायक्रतुसिद्धानामेष लोकः सनातनः ॥
M N Dutt
That is the eternal world existing for those sages who are contented with knowledge about the soul, who have meditated on the soul, and who have acquired success by Vedic study and sacrifices.
१४.४१.५
अहंकारेणाहरतो गुणानिमा
न्भूतादिरेवं सृजते स भूतकृत् ।
वैकारिकः सर्वमिदं विचेष्टते
स्वतेजसा रञ्जयते जगत्तथा ॥
न्भूतादिरेवं सृजते स भूतकृत् ।
वैकारिकः सर्वमिदं विचेष्टते
स्वतेजसा रञ्जयते जगत्तथा ॥
M N Dutt
By consciousness of soul one enjoys the qualities. That source of all creatures, that creator of all creatures, creates thus. It is that which causes all changes. It is that which causes all beings to move. By its own light ii lights up the universe likewise.
॥ इति १४.४१ ॥
