वैशंपायन उवाच ।

ततो विजित्य संग्रामे कुरून्गोवृषभेक्षणः ।
समानयामास तदा विराटस्य धनं महत् ॥

Vaishampayana said Having defeated the Kurus, that one (Arjuna), having the eyes of a bull, brought back the immense wealth of Virata.
४.६२.२
गतेषु च प्रभग्नेषु धार्तराष्ट्रेषु सर्वशः ।
वनान्निष्क्रम्य गहनाद्बहवः कुरुसैनिकाः ॥

मुक्तकेशा व्यदृश्यन्त स्थिताः प्राञ्जलयस्तदा ॥

स्वस्ति व्रजत भद्रं वो न भेतव्यं कथंचन ।
नाहमार्ताञ्जिघांसामि भृशमाश्वासयामि वः ॥
नाहमार्ताञ्जिघांसामि भृशमाश्वासयामि वः ॥

“Welcome! May you are well. Go away. You have nothing to fear. I assure you, I will not kill them who are stricken with fear."
वैशंपायन उवाच ।
४.६२.६
तस्य तामभयां वाचं श्रुत्वा योधाः समागताः ।
आयुःकीर्तियशोदाभिस्तमाशिर्भिरनन्दयन् ॥
आयुःकीर्तियशोदाभिस्तमाशिर्भिरनन्दयन् ॥

Hearing these words of assurance, the warriors blessed him by praising his illustrious deeds and wishing him a long life.
४.६२.७
ततो निवृत्ताः कुरवः प्रभग्ना वशमास्थिताः ।
पन्थानमुपसंगम्य फल्गुनो वाक्यमब्रवीत् ॥

Then, all the Kurus, routed and defeated started for Hastinapur with a dejected mind.
