गते तस्मिन्समाजग्मुर्भयाय प्रति मैथिलीम् ।
राक्षस्यो रावणप्रीत्यै क्रूरं चोचुरलं मुहुः ॥

Karandikar (Ravana) having gone, the demonesses assembled around the Mithila Princess and , towards (arousing) terror (in her), they repeatedly uttered cruel (words) in profusion, to the delight of Ravana.
