गर्जन्हरिः साऽम्भसि शैलकुञ्जे
प्रतिध्वनीनात्मकृतान्निशम्य ।
क्रमं बबन्ध क्रमितुं सकोपः
प्रतर्कयन्नन्यमृगेन्द्रनादान् ॥

Karandikar Roaring, on having heard the echoes aroused by him self in the watery towers of the mountain, the angry lion taking them ( to be ) the roars of another lion, assumed a position for attack.
