ऐन्द्रेण हृदयेऽव्यात्सीत्सोऽध्यवात्सीच्च गां हतः ।
अपिक्षातां सहस्रे द्वे तद्-देहेन वनौकसाम् ॥

Karandikar He struck at his (Kumbhakarna's) heart with Indra's missile and, killed (him), (at which he (Kumbhakarna) took to (fell on) the ground; of forest-dwellers two thousands were ground under his body.
