परितरला हरिगणा रणसमारम्भे ।
रुद्धा लङ्कापरिसर
भूधरपरिभङ्गलालसा धीररवम् ॥

Karandikar Rashly and excessively restive for the commencement of fighting, those monkey troops that bore a keen craving for tearing of (trees) from the mountains on the outskirts of Lanka, were restrained by Rama in severe tones.
