शशाङ्कनाथाऽपगमेन धूम्रां
मूर्च्छापरीतामिव निर्विवेकाम् ।
ततः सखीव प्रथिताऽनुरागा
प्राबोधयत्द्यां मधुराऽरुणश्रीः ॥

Karandikar Then the sweet lustre of the morning twilight which had exhibited her redness (love), awakened, like a female friend , the sky (which was) gloomy on the departure of her lord, the Moon, and was void of discrimination as though enveloped in a swoon.
