अधिगतमहिमा मनुश्यलोके
वत सुतरामवसीदति प्रमादी ।
गजपतिरुरुशैलशृङ्गवर्ष्मा
गुरुरवमज्जति पङ्कभाङ्न दारु ॥

Karandikar Alas ! one who has attained greatness in this world of human beings and, (then) commits an error, suffers a greater downfall. A huge and mighty elephant whose form is like the summit of a great mountain and who is caught in mud, sinks deeper (but) not so (a log of) wood.
