समिद्धशरणा दीप्ता देहे लङ्का मतेश्वरा ।
समिद्धशरणाऽऽदीप्ता देहेऽलंकामतेश्वरा ॥

Karandikar Brilliant in its interior, with its buildings set fire to, Lanka which was much liked by Siva , which had the encourager (of the demons) for its protector and which was capable of fulfilling ample desires, was burnt out.
