अहृत धनेश्वरस्य युधि यः समेतमायो धनं
तमहमितो विलोक्य विबुधैः कृतोत्तमाऽऽयोधनम् ।
विभवमदेन निह्नुतह्रियाऽतिमात्रसंपन्नकं
व्यथयति सत्पथादधिगताऽथवेह संपन्न कम् ॥

Karandikar I have come (here) after seeing him who, possessed of magic powers, snatched away, in battle, the wealth of the Lord of Wealth (Kubera), who waged the mightiest war with the gods and who is excessively afiluent with the pride for (his) treasure that has dispelled ( his) shame. Or, whom does captured wealth not lead astray from the righteous path, here (in this world) ?
